The Silk'n laser hair removal product is a light based device that has been approved by the FDA for at home laser hair removal. It can be used anywhere below the neck and require multiple treatments over the course of months to achieve the best results.
The device works by applying a pulsed light to disable the hair from growing. The hair absorbs the light and transforms the energy to heat, which in effect zaps the hair away! The one downside I can see is that I'll have to keep up with treatments every month or so for a year or two, but I'm willing to do that for permanent hair removal. My sister has been using the Tria for the same time I've been using the Silk'n and my hair is less noticeable and finer than hers, though she has also seen great results.
